EU and EFTA applicants and holders of the Polish charter (Karta Polaka) may choose to follow the procedure for international applicants and be admitted based on the Rector’s decision, or follow the admission procedure applicable to Polish citizens (ranking based on grades).
The International Business program offers you a unique opportunity to study business in the international context, based on solid fundamentals of economics, law, finance and international management. In the course of the program you will get familiar with the most up-to-date phenomena of the global economy as well as with the international conditions of conducting business operations. Knowledge and capabilities gained throughout the studies will enable you to internationalize the activities of your own future business as well as to be offered employment within the EU institutions.
The courses are taught by both Polish and foreign lecturers actively involved in research in the area of international business. The modern interactive teaching methods include workshops, simulations, case studies, research projects and problem-based learning. The students work in a multicultural environment and carry out projects in cooperation with students from different countries, which is a key advantage for those planning a career in international business. The language of instruction is English. Moreover, for the entire duration of the programme, students can learn two selected foreign languages, the options include: English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Chinese and Polish.
The graduates will be equipped with the knowledge necessary for doing business in European markets, in relation to the global market. They should have the competences and skills for managing a small or medium-sized enterprise engaged in international trade. They may be employed e. g. in the positions of foreign trade specialists or in public administration institutions involved in international business cooperation, especially in the European Union. A natural progression for the holder of a Bachelor’s diploma in International Business is to continue the International Business studies at the Master’s level at the University of Economics in Katowice. The graduates can also take up further studies in the area of economics and management in Poland or abroad.
